Keeping it local weekend trip Pismo Beach
I know I’m stretching this local theme a bit by suggesting Pismo Beach as a local destination but with only a 3 hour scenic drive I was blown away by this small town by the beach. Pismo Beach is the true definition of keeping it local the streets are lined with small unique business that are offering everything from homemade sandwiches at Chipwrecked or a seafood feast at the cracked crab. On our short weekend trip we also visited the Splash Cafe known for their clam chowder and Mo’s Smokehouse bbq all which didn’t disappoint the wallet or the taste buds, I’ve included a link to some of the restaurants we visited and others we want to try. However what would a trip to Pismo be if I didn’t try out some brew from http://www.pismobrew.com/ because I was with my family i picked up a growler of their IPA to go and I wasn’t disappointed go over to my YouTube page and type in beersnbars to see my video review of the Pismo Brewing IPA. While in Pismo we also drove down to San Luis Obispo and visited http://www.creeksidebrewing.com/ another small brewery that offered great beers. While in Pismo we stayed at the http://www.bwsheltercove.com/ which is a beautiful hotel with breathtaking scenery , one tip reserve your room 21 days in advance to receive the best offers. Overall Pismo Beach was a great destination that I cant wait to go again if you have children look up the Avila Valley Barn and if your a dog lover there is a dog beach right up PCH. Take some time from your busy week and enjoy a destination your family will love.
